Karl Marx and Frederick Engels

This book by David Riazanov is one of the best introductions to the lives and work of Karl Marx and Frederick Engels. It includes an introduction written by Dirk Struik for the edition published by Monthly Review Press in 1973. Struik was a well-known Mathematician as well as an authority on this subject and his notes added to the book are helpful in placing the facts in the right context.   The footnotes marked with numbers were added by D.
